About Daylight

Skills today.
Stronger tomorrow.

Daylight CPR Training is a small, welcoming classroom in Elizabeth, NJ, led by co-founders Damian and Candis Lewis.

Our story

Why Daylight exists.

I started Daylight CPR Training after witnessing a frightening medical emergency at a funeral. Surrounded by dozens of people, I realized how many of us might not know what to do if someone suddenly needed CPR. That same day, I found a class; two days later, I was learning CPR. I went on to become an instructor because I wanted others to be better prepared than I had been. Daylight CPR exists to help everyday people gain lifesaving skills and the confidence to act.

Damian Lewis

Co-Founder · AHA BLS Instructor

Damian Lewis is the co-founder of Daylight CPR Training and an American Heart Association BLS Instructor who believes that learning lifesaving skills should be a comfortable, engaging, and empowering experience.

With a passion for education, leadership, and helping others, Damian focuses on making CPR and BLS training practical and easy to understand. His teaching approach emphasizes hands-on instruction, patience, and personal attention, helping students build the confidence to respond during an emergency.

Whether working with healthcare professionals, nursing students, parents, or everyday community members, Damian’s goal is to ensure that students leave with more than course completion. He wants them to leave knowing they have learned skills that could help save someone’s life.

At Daylight CPR Training, his mission is simple: provide quality instruction, build confidence, and help create a community better prepared to act when every second matters.
